Hello Friends,

We had a wonderfully successful run at the Capri Theater this weekend with " A Copasetic Christmas Carol"

and I am very happy to say that a holiday tradition has begun!

Thank you so much to those of you who attended and please pass the word

so next year will bring many more friends to this fabulous venue.

I must thank my dear friend Dennis Spears, Anne Long, Karl Reichert, Carl Griffin,

the board members of Plymouth Christian Youth Center, staff and volunteers of the

Capri Theater for believing in the project and giving us their full support and the opportunity to present

"A Copasetic Christmas Carol".

(promo article in the Minneapolis Star/Tribune - Sunday December 9, 2007 - by Rohan Preston)

I thank my collaborator Doug Haining (Composer / Band leader, Alto & Soprano Sax player of the Twin Cities Seven) whose talents gave us the music and the band.

The Band

Steve Wright / Trumpet & Flugelhorn

Scott Agster / Trombone

Tanner Taylor / Piano

Steve Blons / Guitar

Steve Pikal / Bass

Dick Bortolussi / Drums

And last but not least.....

Craig Eichhorn / The Narrator

I am a believer in all efforts to uplift our communities and am grateful to be involved

in the ground breaking success of The Capri Theater!

In June 2008, I will be back at the Capri for the return of the Legends production of

"A Tribute to Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan"

Please go to www.capritheater.org to find out about more the theater and upcoming events!

Hope to see you sometime, somewhere and soon....

Wow! What a tour!

Hello Friend,

I had every intention of doing daily captions this last tour to Spain but I had no time! The majority of time was spent in beautiful Santander with several concerts in the surrounding area.

I had the pleasure of being reunited with my regular band - Gerard Nieto on piano, Ignasi Gonzalez on bass, Esteve Pi on drums and Toni Solá on sax. On the first concert in Teruel, American born guitarist (now living in Barcelona) Dave Mitchell accompanied us. Wow, what a great player! I guess he would have to be to play with the late great Jack McDuff!

My last day there I had two  recording sessions, one with pianist Ignasi Terraza and the other with guitarist Peter Bernstein. They are stellar musicians! Check out their websites.

Peter Bernstein - www.peterbernsteinmusic.com

In a few days, check out my GALLERY for new photos!

Buenas Dias, Bonjour, Hallo!

Dear Friends,

I'm back from my work/vacation and what a wonderful time it was!

In the Canary Islands we played the festival then partied with afterward till the wee hours of the morning. Ran for trains, drank champagne (in Champagne) and sat in with the band at the La Huchette Jazz Club in Paris. And in Iceland soaked in the Blue Lagoon, rented a car and drove 323 kilometers (each way!) to the glacier Vatnajokull and tried cod liver oil. Why you ask? I'm still asking myself that!

Hope to see you sometime, somewhere and soon........
